It is quite extraordinary, even uncanny, that East of the West, made sense for me, of a complex topic such as post 1989 Bulgarian immigration. Now, I don't feel completely alone, or insane for feeling the way I do. I cannot recommend the book highly enough, and have infected enough people with the idea. I cannot recommend the book highly enough, and have infected enough people with the idea.

I currently live in Munich and it's the first time I come across your name - it makes me feel proud, knowing how difficult it is for Bulgarian writers to come out of our country's borders. I have a great passion for literature (personal favorite "The Master and Margarita"). Writing has been my passion since childhood and hopefully one day I will manage to write something worth publishing ;). I will definitely buy your book - I am very interested at how you portrait those differences we all Bulgarians living abroad are so familiar with :). Wish you all the best.
